Privacy Policy
This policy is applicable for the use of website, web-applications as well as mobile app of Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Nepal. IRD is dedicated in delivering public service to the taxpayers that are related to the issues of inland tax regime like Income Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), Excise, Digital Service Tax (DST), etc. The personal identification information collected by IRD is used only by the Government of Nepal when the person is willing to use e-government services.
We collect these information
As per the prevailing laws of the Government of Nepal, we collect the following information.
- Personal identification information like Name, Mobile Number, Citizenship Number, National Identification Number (NIN), Permanent Account Number (PAN), Passport Number, Address, Email, etc.
- Device ID for sending push notifications to the devic
- App usage analytics
Purpose of these information
Personal information is gathered primarily so that IRD can offer its services like linking to the internet-based services delivered through website, web application and mobile application. Personal information is required to understand the user's needs and provide a better service.
Internal record keeping
IRD is committed to ensure that the information that it collects is secure. The information may be used to improve our products and services, provide better analytics and management of reports adhering standard security practices. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
Changes in this Privacy Statement
IRD reserves the right to change the privacy statement as deemed necessary, therefore, it is requested to the user to review it frequently. We notify via notification on home page whenever we make material change in our policy.
